Admissions

At Pickard IB World School, we welcome students from diverse backgrounds and offer various admission pathways to cater to different needs. Whether you are interested in PreK enrollment, reside within our boundary, seek admission from outside the boundary, seek to join our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) or inquire about Special Education placement, you'll find detailed information and easy access to the respective admissions processes through the links provided. Pre-Kindergarten

Pickard accepts general education students and students with special needs who are 3 years old and up into our PreK blended programs. Seats are not guaranteed and we encourage parents to apply early through the Chicago Early Learning website.

Residence within boundary

Students in grades K-12 within the attendance boundary have a guaranteed seat at Pickard Elementary for our general education program for grades K-5 and for our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program for grades 6-8. No GoCPS application is required. Please reach out to Pickard Elementary directly if you live in our attendance boundary.

Parents of students who do not live within Pickard's attendance boundaries may still be elgible to enroll their child by applying for Open Enrollment admissions through GoCPS and the Choice Schools application process.

Inclusive Special Education (LRE1)

Pickard Elementary offers a one of a kind inclusive education for students with special needs. Our students experience the maximum amount of push-in (inclusive) minutes to maximize access to general education curriculum.
